High levels of biological activity in the products aid in the creation of micro organisms.  These micro organisms decrease the threat of disease in the soil by adding natural microbes to fight the disease causing microbes already present.  This environment becomes equalized.  No organism will be able to populate enough to cause sufficient damage.

The micro organisms also replenish the structure of the soil.  Because of the high levels of nutrients and minerals  being replaced in mass quantities by the organic matter the structure once again becomes rich, productive and active in decomposing harmful crop residue.

Soil improvement is also evident by the ability of the organic material to hold moisture.  Organic matter holds 5 times its weight in water and also improves carbon content, which causes plants to be less stressed during extreme temperatures.
